Release Overview The ACT! 2009 (11.0) release takes a “you asked, we listened” approach as we’ve focused on making ACT! more usable. Improvements to commonly used features have been made, from lookups to Microsoft® Outlook® e-mail and calendar integration – all in an effort to increase customer satisfaction and loyalty. Application start-up and operational performance has also been improved, which we feel will help drive positive opinion of ACT! quality . The direction of this year’s release was determined largely through research that was conducted with current customers, including numerous face-to-face interviews, usability labs, and surveys. We feel confident this year’s release will satisfy customer priorities to ensure ACT! is easy to use/intuitive, helping them to be more productive. This is also important because ease of use has historically been a significant competitive differentiator, particularly as we continue to sell against other CRM solutions in-market.
Additionally, the ACT! 2009 Solutions release marks the first-ever release where ACT! Premium for Web is available on a localization-ready platform. This enables all regions to offer compatible Windows and Web solutions to existing customers and prospects. Delivery of a Windows and Web product, based on the same platform that maintains a similar look and feel, is also an significant competitive differentiator as it provides our users the freedom to select deployment and access methods best suited for them.
